Satellite Voices: How did Moscow nightlife culture evolved in last 5 years?
Timofey Kolesnikov: Clubbing evolved into bar culture. Today Moscow looks like a mixture between Europe and New York. Previously folks had fun in places with 500 people capacity, but now there are interested in smaller but more sincere places. But maybe it is the way I personally evolved, not Moscow’s nightlife itself.
SV: Is there anything common between Moscow’s fashion people?
TK: Yeah, all of them f*cked with each other. Men. Women.
SV: What kind of stories will your photos tell future people in 30 years from now?
TK: I enjoy shooting emotions and they don’t have expiration date. I hope in 30 years children of my heroes will look at their parents’ photos with such words as: “My mom is cool.”
